Stathy M. WhiteStathy M. White

Ms. White, Chairman of Thomas White International, focuses on maintaining the forward-looking vision and quality standards of the firm. She serves as the President of the Thomas White Funds and the Director of Mutual Fund and SMA Marketing, and also manages the Bangalore, India research support team.

Earlier, she worked with Mr. White at Morgan Stanley Asset Management and helped found Thomas White International in 1992. Ms. White previously managed the firm’s analysts at Best Independent Research, LLC. She is a graduate of Northwestern University with a B.S. degree in Communications.

Thomas White is the President of Thomas White International, Ltd., which he founded in 1992. As Chief Investment Officer, he heads the firm’s Investment Committee, which is comprised of eight senior analysts who participate in all investment decisions.

Mr. White has over 40 years of investment experience, commencing in 1966 when he began his career at Goldman Sachs after graduating from Duke University. He was an officer of Lehman Brothers and later worked for Blyth Eastman Dillon. As Managing Director of Morgan Stanley, Mr. White was the CIO for the institutional value style portfolios and funds at Morgan Stanley Asset Management for 14 years.

As head of the firm’s global investment professionals, Mr. White is responsible for the management of the firm’s domestic, international, and global portfolios. The Investment Team is supported by the firm’s security analysts in the United States and Asia who produce investment research covering nearly 5,000 companies in 48 countries around the world.

Dr. Jinwen Zhang, Ph.D, CFADr. Jinwen Zhang, Ph.D, CFA

Dr. Zhang is the Director of Research at Thomas White International. In addition to her management of all research operations of the firm, she specifically is responsible for companies in the healthcare industry both in the U.S. and internationally. As a senior member of the Thomas White Investment Committee, she participates in the group’s review of portfolio adjustments recommended by security analysts at the firm.

Prior to joining Thomas White, Dr. Zhang was a research scientist and instructor at Rush Medical College in Chicago. Earlier, she was a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Science in Beijing. In the field of Biochemistry, she has a B.S. from Beijing University and a PhD from Iowa State University. Dr. Zhang also has an MBA from the University of Chicago in Finance and Accounting.

Ramkumar Venkatramani, CFARamkumar Venkatramani, CFA

Ramkumar Venkatramani joined Thomas White International in 2007 and now serves as the firm’s Director of Portfolio Management. A member of the Thomas White Investment Committee, he covers Japanese companies for the firm’s global and international portfolios.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Venkatramani was a research analyst at Five Star Capital Management in New York, where he used a variety of quantitative methods to develop index options strategies for momentum and directional trading. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Madras and a Certificate in Financial Risk Management from New York University.

Gabe is a firm director and leads the fund/SMA marketing and sales efforts for Thomas White International, Ltd. He joined the firm in early 2011 to focus on building brand awareness and availability of the Firm’s product offerings. Prior to Thomas White, Gabe spent six years at Thornburg Investment Management in Santa Fe, New Mexico. There he served as the Senior Portfolio Specialist where his primary duties including building the fund/SMA/institutional channels and servicing institutional clients, and developing new business. Gabe is a CFA Charter holder and earned his BBA in Finance from University of New Mexico, Anderson School of Business in 2005.

Chris Neill, CFAChris Neill, CFA

Christopher Neill is a firm director and leads the institutional marketing/sales efforts for Thomas White International, Ltd. In his current role, Mr. Neill focuses on expanding the Thomas White’s business on a global scale, including new mandates for the firm in Canada, South Africa, the United Kingdom as well as the United States.

He joined the firm in late 2010 after spending five years at Thornburg Investment Management in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he served as the portfolio strategist and prior that, four years at Putnam Trust as a vice president and portfolio manager. Mr. Neill is a CFA Charter holder and earned his MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School in 2000. He holds a BS in Economics/Finance from the Andreas School of Business at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida where he currently sits on the board for The Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF).

Douglas M. Jackman, CFADouglas M. Jackman, CFA

Doug Jackman is the Director of Institutional Relationships at Thomas White International, which he joined in 1995. He is also member of the firm’s Investment Committee, which reviews all changes in the investment portfolios.

Mr. Jackman joined the firm after graduating from the MBA program at the University of Chicago with a major in Finance and Accounting. Earlier, he worked with Morgan Stanley in New York developing equity and FX trading systems. He has a BA degree from the University of Chicago where he served as a research assistant at the Center for Research in Security Prices.

David M. Sullivan IIDavid M. Sullivan II

Mr. Sullivan is Treasurer of Thomas White International and serves as the firm’s Director of Trading, managing the flow of share and FX transactions in domestic and international portfolios. He works with the firm’s Investment Team to implement their approved portfolio changes.

Dave became a member of the Thomas White organization after participating in the firm’s Analyst Summer Intern Program. He has a B.S. in Economics from DePaul University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Conner joined Thomas White International, Ltd. in June 2008, and as Corporate Secretary is responsible for the day-to-day business operations of the firm. In addition, he oversees the compliance program of the firm and coordinates process improvement initiatives.

Prior to Thomas White, Mr. Conner worked for Computershare for nearly 5 years in various project management and operational roles. Although his work was based in New York, he also received international assignments, including projects in Bermuda and Bristol, England. Mr. Conner received a B.A. in Political Science from Duke University.

Dr. Wei Li, Ph.D, CFADr. Wei Li, Ph.D, CFA

Executive Vice President

Dr. Li joined Thomas White International in 1994 and covers Asian companies, including the Far East and Indian sub-continent markets. As a member of the Thomas White Investment Committee, he participates in the review of each portfolio adjustment suggested by the firm’s security analysts.

Dr. Li was earlier a research associate in Operations Research at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he studied investments and finance. Prior to that, he received his PhD from Purdue University, and was a postdoctoral Fellow at McGill University in Montreal. He is a native of Nanjing, China, where he received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Nanjing Normal and Nanjing University.

Dr. John Wu, Ph.D, CFADr. John Wu, Ph.D, CFA

Executive Vice President

Dr. Wu joined Thomas White International in 1997 and is now a portfolio co-manager and member of the firm’s eight-person Investment Committee. Designing many of the firm’s industry-specific valuation techniques, Dr. Wu covers energy stocks in North America and Europe and emerging markets stocks in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Dr. Wu left the firm in 2007 to work with Crabel, a hedge fund, and returned to his former position in 2009.

Prior to Thomas White, Dr. Wu was a research assistant with the University of Wisconsin System Trust Fund. Earlier he worked at the Chinese Ministry of Nuclear Industry after receiving a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing. Furthering his education in America, he earned a Ph.D. in Physics, and an M.S. in Finance, Banking and Investments from the University of Wisconsin.

Rishabh Halakhandi, CFARishabh Halakhandi, CFA

Rishabh Halakhandi joined Thomas White International in 2007 and covers U.S. and Canadian companies in the technology, communication, services and energy sectors. Beginning in June 2013, he became a member of the Thomas White Investment Committee, which reviews all changes in the investment portfolios.

Earlier, Mr. Halakhandi was a programming analyst at Goldman Sachs Services Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore, India, where he was part of the team developing technology systems for Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He has a Bachelor and Master of Technology degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur.

Rex Mathew, CMRex Mathew, CM

Mr. Mathew is a member of the Thomas White Investment Committee, responsible for fundamental research on companies based in India for the firm’s international and emerging markets portfolios. In addition, he leads the global macro and industry analysis efforts that supports the firm’s investment research by adding broader context and perspective to company level analysis. He is also responsible for the portfolio reviews and commentary for the Thomas White Funds as well as institutional accounts at the firm.

Mr. Mathew joined Thomas White’s Bangalore office in 2007 as the manager of Global Markets Research group. Prior to that, he was a financial columnist covering the financial markets and the economy for one of the leading online publications in India.

Dr. Ma is a Senior Vice President and the Director of Research Technology at Thomas White International, Ltd. His work is focused on the department’s systems and financial database as it relates to our valuation analysis of individual companies. This valuation work appears monthly in the Global Equity Valuations publications.

Prior to joining Thomas White, Dr. Ma worked with Lucent Technologies in database design, and continued his work when his division was spun-off as Mascon IT Limited. Prior to Lucent, he was a research assistant in the Computer Sciences Department of the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Ma has a Master’s of Science degree in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Texas, as well as an M.S. in Chemistry from the Chinese Academy of Science and a B.S. in Chemistry from Nankai in Tianjin, China.

Harriet E. WhiteHarriet E. White

Director of Media and Retail Marketing

Joining Thomas White in 2013, Ms. White focuses on all aspects of digital marketing for the firm, and is responsible for the filming and editing of all retail and institutional videos for Thomas White International. In her role assisting the Director of the SMA/Mutual Fund department and the Director of SMA/Fund Relationships, she updates and maintains the firm’s client database and oversees the production of the firm’s factsheets and marketing materials. Ms. White also manages the firm’s research efforts on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria in stock selection. A graduate of the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism, summa cum laude, Ms. White spent time at the Council on Foreign Relations, the United Nations, and Procter & Gamble in Brussels while earning her degree.
